Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service Successfully Executes Drug Warrant
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WIIKWEMKOONG – March 10, 2025 – Today, the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service (WTPS), with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit, UCCM Crime Unit, and UCCM Canine Unit, successfully executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at an address on Gasongi Lane in Wiikwemkoong.
This collaborative investigation led to the seizure of cocaine and fentanyl with an approximate street value of $10,000. Additionally, a quantity of cash and other evidence indicative of drug trafficking activities were confiscated. As a result of this operation, an adult male and female from Wiikwemikoong have been charged with several criminal offenses related to drug trafficking, including:
- Trafficking a Schedule 1 drug: cocaine and fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a Schedule 1 drug: cocaine and fentanyl
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00
- Forcible confinement

Both of the charged individuals are scheduled to appear in court on April 22, 2025.
