WIIKWEMKOONG – October 30, 2025 – Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service (WTPS) is advising the community of a noticeable increase in property-related crimes throughout the month of October. Officers responded to 16 reported incidents of theft and 10 occurrences of break and enter across the Territory.
WTPS continues to actively investigate these incidents and encourages residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Community safety remains a top priority, and we are committed to working collaboratively with our policing partners and the public to address these concerns.
“We appreciate the community’s continued efforts in reporting crimes through our online reporting system and Crime Stoppers,” said Ron Gignac, Chief of Police, WTPS. “These tools are vital in helping us respond quickly and effectively. We encourage everyone to keep using these platforms to share information that helps our officers do their job.”
WTPS reminds all residents to secure their homes, vehicles, and personal belongings, and to report any suspicious behaviour immediately. The support of our community members plays a crucial role in keeping Wiikwemkoong safe.
